Fortnite on mobile has added a customisable HUD, and as well as plans for voice chat, an Android release window has been announced.
Epic Games has added a new feature to Fortnite on iOS that allows players to customise their HUD. It also confirmed plans to add cross-platform voice chat, with easy-to-use mute options.
“There will be a button on the screen that lets you mute yourself, mute everyone in your party, or go back to open-microphone,” reads the update.
Other impending tweaks and changes include “improving Autorun and adding better ways to fire,” and once they’ve been rolled out, Epic will “add options to the settings” so that players can give them a whirl at their leisure.
The next few updates will also see the game’s large installation size reduced, as well as making “overall patch sizes smaller.” Another handy feature will be the ability to download Fortnite mobile content in the background.
And finally, after waiting an age for news on an Android release, Epic has confirmed that Fortnite mobile will be coming to the platform this summer.
We haven’t been given an exact date, but a release window is better than nothing.
