The Festival of the Lost comes to Destiny 2 for the first time next week and Bungie has released more details about what we can expect, as well as changes being made to its DLC bundle and the return of the Iron Banner.

Previously, you had to purchase the two previous expansions, Warmind and Curse of Osiris, before you could play Forsaken. Bungie has announced that from October 16 onwards, Destiny 2: Forsaken will include both of the expansions, all in one neat package and removing an awkward paywall.

For those of us who have already bought Forsaken, you’ll receive an exclusive bundle as a thank you, sometime in early December. You can expect to find the Tiger Stripe black shader, Veterans nameplate and some Exotic emotes.

Destiny 2 Forsaken: Iron Banner

Lord Saladin returns to the tower next week, and Lord Shaxx is one of the rumoured masks Guardians will be able to wear as part of their Halloween costumes both in-game and in real life. The Iron Banner is returning on October 16 for one week and some of the bounty objectives and rewards have been updated after feedback from the last run.

Each bounty will now offer a powerful reward and bounty objectives have been made a little easier:

  • Lightbearer: Reduced Super kills to 20 from 25
  • Iron in the Blood: Reduced match completions to 15 from 30
  • Shine On: Reduced Orbs generated to 50 from 100
  • Iron Victory: Reduced match wins to 7 from 10
  • To Be Precise: Reduced precision kills to 50 from 100
  • All in a Week’s Work: Reduced kills to 150 from 250

Players will also unlock an item in Lord Saladin’s inventory for direct purchase with each bounty completion with curated perk rolls, with foxes and wolves will battle it out for a spot in your arsenal.

Masterwork cores will also be more likely to drop and Valor gains will be increased, with Double Valor from October 16-19 and Triple Valor from October 19-23, so you should definitely return to the Crucible next week.

Destiny 2: Forsaken costume party

From next week, you’ll be able to don masks and other outfits for Halloween, and you’ll also be able to download and print out the free papercraft chicken mask template if you want to really in into the spirit of things.

You’ll also be able to purchase a three-pack bundle of mask templates from the Bungie store and receive an in-game emblem, Circles Entwined.
